Hello,

I just joined to see if I could be of any help and maybe get some from you.

I'm currently working for the Government of Saint-Barthelemy on a
mission to enhance digital services and resiliency on the islands.

I have a 20+ years background in networking in France, from the trench
to the router, with a slight grasp on FR and EU regulations.

Also board member at France-IX, and willing to push peering as a way to
bolster robustness and quality.

I'm flying to the CCTA in Porto-Rico today, hope to meet some of you there !

Best regards,

Hi,

So it has been a few days since I wrote the introduction email, it had
to get through misconfigured filters.

I'm now back from PR (SJU) to SBH, and had the chance to meet great
peoples from other islands.

I'd hope everyone I met will chime in so we could leverage this list as
a coordination center for ongoing infrastructure deployments.

I hope to meet you all soon !

Best regards,

Hi,

Pleased to make your online acquaintance Jérôme. Happy that you had
great social networking and a safe trip.

Good job overcoming the filters!

Are you doing a presentation for CaribNOG 27, April 17 - 19, 2024, Barbados?

Exciting background and aims. You have livened up the mailing list. :-)
All the best!

Regards,

Jason Hynds

Unfortunately I can't, I'll be back in continental France at that time.
We have the FRnOG meeting on the 26th of April. It's been 15 years since
I started to attend every one of these meetings ;-)

I'm planning to be back in the area in May, then probably during most of
July and August (running away from the Olympics in Paris, it's kind of a
chalenge we have between local freelance networkers to get away for work
during this awful time).

I'll try to post a lot more details about what we're working on within a
few days.

Best regards,

I think we do have options for remote participation and presentation.

All the best for FRnOG! It would be nice to have some inter-NOG
exchanges of people.

Regards,

Jason Hynds.

That would be great for me. To whom should I present the draft content
I'd like to share at this occasion ?

All the best for FRnOG! It would be nice to have some inter-NOG
exchanges of people.

I'll ask my peers how would they like to proceed then ;-) Fell free to
visit our archives (99% in French) at
https://www.mail-archive.com/frnog@frnog.org/ or subscribe at
www.frnog.org !

If any one of you would want to come to Paris on April the 26th, and
speaks or at least understands French ideally, feel welcome, I could
provide accommodations if necessary (though I live 40 minutes away from
Opera, where the meeting is held, so a nearby hotel is probably a better
idea. The best after-party occurs near République).

I also could arrange a visit of Telehouse Paris Voltaire in the morning,
it's the main carrier-interconnect DC in France.

Wow!

Awesome gestures! Thank you!

I hope someone more qualified to will follow-up to make it a reality.
Unfortunately, I'm just a random guy on this mailing list. 😃

Nevertheless, I feel like this is the 1st time someone committed to my
ideas like that. And I'm always shooting them off. That being the case, I
now want to move to France. Goodbye Caribbean!

I'll try to Google translate some of the archive. Je ne parle pas français.

Regards,

Jason Hynds.
